Something no one deserves, but yet something every one absolutely needs.
To recognize you need forgiveness is a humbling realization. The simple fact that no one is perfect means that everyone at some point is gonna mess up to the point of needing forgiveness.

The next question is, are you humble enough to ask for it?

I ask this because I’ve seen/have been one of these people so proud that I didn’t feel I needed to ask for forgiveness.

It’s amazing how pride can keep us from doing the right thing in so many situations. But this post isn’t about pride. It’s about forgiveness.
Even tho pride can also stop you from giving forgiveness.

It takes a great deal of humility to ask for forgiveness and to give forgiveness.
Naturally when someone does you wrong your first instinct is to retaliate, or even hold grudges.
It’s goes against everything your brain is telling you to say “I know you did me wrong, but I forgive you”.

But when you make mistakes do you think you deserve second chances?

Depends on the offense tho, right?

I would probably agree with that.

But what about with God?

Do you think you deserve forgiveness from God? The Creator of all. The One who sees and knows all? The One who sees your heart and all your true intentions.

Do you think you should ask Him for forgiveness?

Cause I know you should.

He said 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And reason He is just in forgiving us is because He is the atonement for our sins.
While we were yet sinners, even enemies of God, Christ died for us so that we could be forgiven and not have to suffer the wrath that we righteously deserve.
Amen. Glory to God that God made a way, in that who so ever believe in the Son of God shall have ever lasting life and not perish. Glory to God we have an Advocate that goes before a Holy Judge on our behalf to justify us.

All that said, we are still faced with forgiveness. And the fact that now, we as Christians have tasted grace. Have witnessed mercy. Shall also show the world what it is to receive undeserved forgiveness.

We are called to forgive by Jesus himself.

Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

So brothers and sisters I hope your horse isn’t too high to forgive.

I could go on all day about this but my time is limited.

Until next time. I love you.
