Why am I depressed?

I knew at some point and time I would have a need to cover this topic. Seeing how anxiety disorders are the most common “mental illness” in the U.S. affecting 40 million adults.

But what do they think causes depression?

The problem I have with this is the fact they do not take a humans spirituality into account. Because me from my own personal experience can tell you when I am not trying to line up with the Word of God, I experience depression. And the very second I speak about God’s goodness I feel a rejuvenation in my bones. My spirit is instantly lifted. So I know first hand that God can do it but let’s see what the Bible says.

We see here the Bible has said that your sin is actively attempting to make a disconnect between you and the Creator. Now we know that it is by faith that we are saved. But we also know that sin is in direct conflict with your faith.

One of the best things we just read there was God can restore us! He will allow us to turn to Him and be healed once again. If you seek peace in your life you have to stop being at war with God. Submit to His holy authority and begin to walk in the way of peace.

I know some of y’all think you couldn’t possibly be depressed because of your sin but have you ever dropped your sin and turned to the Holy True God in hopes to be made clean? God can help us but first we must recognize the true causes of our problems. “There is none righteous no not one. ”

Until next time,
